Kristina Kelvy is a current fourth year medical student based in New Jersey. She is matching into family medicine as part of the graduating Class of 2020.
Matched Into a Pandemic has started as a way to reflect on the emotions and uncertainty of entering the profession of medicine during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic of 2019-2020. This blog is intended to express personal reflections and considerations of how to care for patients and populations as the world battles a pandemic and beyond.
Originally from Hamilton, NJ, Kristina completed her undergraduate studies in history and theatre at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She later completed a Masters in Medical Humanities at King’s College London. She currently lives in Columbus, NJ and can usually be found reading on the beach, crocheting blankets and scarfs, baking in the kitchen, or singing showtunes while driving.
